Exactly what is balance anyway?
I get asked this question alot...so here goes...Balance is more of a "look" than anything else.  It is when the rabbit LOOKS as deep as it is long and as wide as it is long and deep.  The head is also, if measured when resting, as long (from nose to ear tip) as the rabbit is deep (or long, or wide).  If the animal was wider than it is deep then it is not "in balance" if it's ears are longer than they should be then the "head and ears don't balance with the body" if the animal is deep but very narrow, the animal is also "not balanced".
Balance is when the height, length, width and length of the head and ear are all equal (or LOOK equal) to each other. Both the torte at right and the tri above are very well balanced.  Notice how the width equals the length from shoulder to tail on the tri above.  You can use your hand width or length to measure this on all of your bunnies until you learn to see the balance with your eyes.  (Measure here with your fingers to prove it to yourself).
